On the one hand, you seem to feel that the United States should have “open borders” and allow unimpeded access to anyone wanting to enter. But, on the other hand, you think it is proper to establish your own borders to “keep out tourists” or foreign investors. Why is it okay for Puerto Rico and Hawaii to “keep out” undesirables, but it is not okay for the people along the southern border of the United States to do the same? The citizens of the United States feel exactly the same way you do: They resent “outsiders” exploiting the public, taxpayer-funded resources to which they have no lawful claim.
